Our Story

We are a family of eight who love Jesus Christ first and love each other. We live on a small farm in Colorado.

We began with raising chickens, and all was great until we realized that our chickens made tasty meals for the local coyotes. We lost 14 of our chickens over 2 days with just one lone survivor. We started over with new chickens and realized that we needed dogs to scare off predators, but who were gentle with chickens and children.

After some research we discovered the Colorado Mountain Dog and Great Pyrenees breeds. These dogs are good-natured and absolutely love people. They will bark occasionally, but only as a form of protection. They work great in pairs -- one fending off the predator, the other protecting. And that's how Shasta & Denali became part of our family.
